Henry's Tavern, La Urbana, Hugo's, A Spotted Trotter Restaurant ...

1) Midtown: Henry's Midtown Tavern is soft opening on 10th Street this week and throwing a grand opening party on Saturday, June 8 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. There will be complimentary passed appetizers, house wine, and beer as well as a cash bar. There's a suggested donation of $10 at the door; proceeds will go to organizations supporting AIDS research. 132 10th Street, Midtown. [POST-PLYWOOD]

2) Rumormongering: Charcuterie shop the Spotted Trotter definitely has a restaurant in the works: They've been "putting together a business plan and trying to obtain financing to hopefully expand The Spotted Trotter and open up a small restaurant in 2014." Rumor has it that the team has considered Old Fourth Ward's Krog Street Market. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

3) Roswell:?From the team behind C&S in Vinings, new restaurant Hugo's will open this Friday, June 7, this Saturday, June 8, on Alpharetta Highway. The restaurant will have a full bar and an oyster bar; its menu will consist of mostly seafood offerings from chef John Schwenck. 5) Emory Village: The Slice & Pint is finishing up the remodel and waiting on permits, but should be open soon in Emory Village. The restaurant will replace Everybody's Pizza and Steady Hand Pour House, both of which shuttered this spring to make way for the new pizza joint and soon-to-be microbrewery. [PLYWOOD]

6) Emory Village: Ink & Elm is set to open the last week of June. The restaurant will be open from early morning to late night and offer a fine dining dinner service as well as more casual options for lunch, drinks, and coffee (they're serving Intelligentsia). Details here. [PLYWOOD]

7) West Midtown: Opening in Westside Provisions District in August 2013, Preserving Place. The and "interactive teaching kitchen" from Martha McMillin will offer cooking classes, specialty cooking supplies, and preserved foods made in-house. There will be classes on making and canning everything from baby food to pickles, and jarred items like chutneys, relishes, and jams will be sold.
